Walkers news: Sept. 22 -- Extra-inning win clinches NL South title for St. Louis

Nicky Delmonico hit a two-run home run off Cedar Rapids reliever Thomas Hackimer with two outs in the top of the 10th inning to help give the St. Louis River Walkers a 7-5 win over the Golden Grapplers at Shibe Park.
The win clinched the National South Division title for the River Walkers, who at 91-64 sit eight games in front of Des Moines with seven games left in the season.
The Walkers trailed 5-4 going into the ninth inning, but got the run they needed to keep it going.

Tucker Barnhart led off with a double off David Phelps. An Adeiny Hechavarria single moved Andrew Tholes,who replaced Barnhart, and he scored when Ender Inciarte hit into a fielder's choice.
Cedar Rapids had turned a 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 lead in the sixth inning when Dominic Smith opened the inning with a home run off Carlos Martinez and Wilson Ramos later hit a two-run shot off Martinez.
