ALCS Game 2 -- Columbus 11, Grand Rapids 7
Columbus put up two runs or more in four innings as it reached double digits in run for the second straight game in an 11-7 win over the Grand Rapids Traders in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series.
Unlike their 10-4 Game 1 win, when they cranked out five homers, the Golden Bears hit just one long ball -- a solo shot from Gary Sanchez off Carlos Rondon in the second inning - as this time they complied 15 hits and were helped by seven walks.
Tied at 1-1, Columbus took the lead for good in the third inning. Bryce Harper scored two with a single. A wild pitch plated the third run.
The Bears would later add two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings and three in the ninth.
Paul Goldschmidt finished with three RBIs. Harper, David Dahl and Chris Ianetta all had two.
Seven pitchers split up the mound duties for the Bears.
Starter Luis Castillo lasted four innings, giving up three runs on six hits.
Bryan Shaw, who got the final two outs of the eighth, earned the win.
