Today John Burkett is pitching for us against Jeff Bitterer and the Cubs.

I didn't start but came in as a pinch hitter for Burkett with the bases loaded facing Ray Soff. He walked me, forcing in a run. I later scored on Angel Escobar's grand slam.

We won 12-1.

Today it is Joe Johnson and the Braves. The Giants are pitching Bruce Ruffin and I am starting at short.

I am no longer the young wunderkind in the league. The 17 year old Braves draftee named Ken Griffey Jr. launched a 1st inning home run to give Atlanta the lead.

Braves lead 1-0.

I led off the home half by striking out.

Atlanta scored again in the 3rd when Milt Thompson crossed on an Andres Galarraga fielder's choice.

Braves lead 2-0.

I came up with now out in the 3rd and flew out to Griffey Jr. in right.

Mark Clear took over pitching for us in the 5th. The got to him quickly as Jeff Blauser led off with a triple and then scored on Gerald Perry's sac fly.
I finally made ad defensive play after that, grabbing a Thompson pop for the 2nd out. Then I did the same to Griffey Jr for the 3rd.

Braves lead 3-0.

John Rabb got us on the board with a solo homer in the 5th.

Braves lead 3-1.

I led off the bottom of the 6th, now facing Brian Holman. I lined out to Brad Komminsk in left. After that Mike Aldrete singled and later scored on a Rob Deer sac fly.

Braves lead 3-2.

I got the 3rd out in the 7th, handling a Blauser grounder.

I was lifted for a pinch hitter in the 7th.

We ended up losing 5-4.

I went 0 for 3.
