Walker news: May 27 -- Springfield 4, St. Louis 2

Josh Hader and six relievers combined to shut out St. Louis for eight innings and Carl Edwards held off a big threat in the ninth as the Springfield Prairie Fighters defeated the River Walkers 4-2 at Olympic Stadium to complete a three-game sweep.

The loss was the fifth in a row for St. Louis.
Hader was dominant in his 5.1 innings, allowing just one hit while striking out six and walking two.
A chorus line of relievers followed him to the mound, keeping it scoreless going into the ninth.
The Walkers finally mustered something putting four straight batters aboard to pull within 4-2 with one out.
But Edwards struck out Manny Pina, and after a walk to Brock Holt which put runners at first and second, he got Albert Almora to hit into a fielder's choice to end it.
Springfield methodically built a 4-0 lead against St. Louis starter Trevor Bauer, scoring single runs in the first, second and third innings.
A Mookie Betts two-out single off Phil Maton scored Delino DeShields with the Fighters' fourth run.
DeShields was 3 for 3 in the game, with a homer and two RBIs.
