Aaron Nola handled the first 5.1 innings and the St. Louis bullpen did the rest as the River Walkers downed Milwaukee 4-0 at Busch Stadium.
The win was the third straight for the Walkers over the Keg Lifters. They've allowed just one run in the three games with one game remaining.
Nola scattered four hits during his 5.1 innings. He struck out six and walked two.
Four relievers --Grant Dayton (0.2 IP), Phil Maton (0.2), Jake Diekman (1.1) and Bobby Poyner (1.0) -- combined to finish off the whitewashing.
St. Louis grabbed a 3-0 lead in the third inning when Andrew Benintendi slammed a three-run homer off Milwaukee starter Jake Arrieta.
An RBI single from Nicky Delmonico in the seventh upped the advantage to 4-0.
