1925 Where Are They Now?
Top Prospects:
Joey Arredondo - He was the top overall prospect in 1920 after getting signed out of the Dominican Republic. He has had some issues with injuries but has been an above average player so far.
Kendall Yarbrough - The top pitching prospect has made 3 all-star teams and was the 1923 AL League Championship MVP.
Draftees:
Jake Duarte - The top draftee in 1920 out of Michigan State - he has played two full seasons in the majors with above average value.
Devin Bennett - He was the top high school bat in 1920 but has missed quite a bit of time due to injury. He recently made his MLB debut but his ceiling is much lower than it was in the past.
Marlon Pepper - He was a dominant pitcher in the Oregon High School league and slowly moved through the Cubs system, finally completing a full major league season last year with 3.9 WAR.
Youssef Raadoun - He was taken second overall in 1920 and has won two gold glove awards so far in his career. He has had to deal with some injuries.
Award Winners:
Jimmy Canales - Rookie of the Year and now 4-time all-star, one-time gold glove, and one-time silver slugger.
Branson McNair - Rookie of the Year and hasn't won any more awards but has been a solid average to slightly above average pitcher.
