Harry Lyerly out for 4-5 weeks with elbow ailment
I mentioned earlier that Harry Lyerly had to be pulled very early from his last start. As it turned out, Lyerly is suffering from bone chips in his throwing elbow. He has been placed on the 10-day DL and is expected to be out for about 4-5 weeks.
In his absence the Brewers brought up Justin Peacock from AAA. Peacock was named the 58th best prospect in the WPK at the beginning of the season. He has potential to be a decent back-end-of-the-rotation starter, but likely not more. He does have a nice 5-pitch repertoire and if his forkball and curveball both develop just a bit more, he could fashion a decent big league career.
