Cody Bellinger hit three solo home runs off St. Louis starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks in the first six innings to help power Des Moines to a 6-3 win at Busch Stadium.
Bellinger hit solo shots in the second, third and sixth innings, and Raphel Devers socked a two-run blast in the third to power the Harvesters to a 5-0 lead.
Shutout through the first six innings by Des Moines starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (five innings) and reliever Mike Siroka (one inning), St. Louis did bust through for two runs in the seventh -- a two-run homer from Andrew Benintendi off reliever Yonny Chirinos -- and another in the eighth -- a pinch-hit RBI double from Andrew Toles off Rory Stevens -- to trim the deficit to 5-3.
However, a two-out throwing error by second baseman Bo Bichette led to an unearned run for the Harvesters.
Jandel Gustave got the first out of the ninth and Leo Vazquez the final two to close it out.
Stroman allowed five hits in his five shutout innings. He struck out five and walked none.
The save was the third of the season for Vazquez.
