St. Louis scored five times in the first inning and never looked back in a 14-2 rout of Quad City at Fenway Park (1970).
The River Walkers put their first three batters aboard and two of their first three runs came on wild pitches from Thunder starting pitcher Matt Ruppenthal.
Rhys Hoskins collected the game's first RBI with double which scored Andrew Benintendi to make it 2-0.
Back-to-back two-out solo homers from Nick Delmonico and Tucker Barnhart scored the final two runs.
St. Louis other big outburst came in the ninth, by which time it led 10-2.
Delmonico opened the inning with his second solo homer of the game, and 28th long ball of the season,this one off reliever Hyun-jin Ryu.
Another wild pitch, this one from Ryu, scored a run making it 12-2.
Benintendi and pinch-hitter Will Benson also collected RBIs in the inning.
Walkers starting pitcher Luke Gohara earned his 13th win of the season while allowing two runs on four hits over 5.2 innings.
Three relievers -- Tony Gonsolin (0.1 IP), Sarkis Ohanian (2.0) and Manuel Soliman (1.0) -- combined to wrap up the victory.
