At the current time, the presidency of the Slaabovian Republic rotates between people from different states, territories, and/or the Federal District. And no more than one state, territory, or Federal District can have representation in two consecutive administrations as either the President or Vice President, for Constitutional reasons, except in cases of national emergency or other events that may require that to be true.

The state of Martinelandia will not be allowed to put up a candidate for either President or Vice President again until their turn comes up in the selection process, once President Lancaster's administration is finally over, for whatever reason, per that Constitutional requirement. They might not be able to put up another candidate at least until all other States and/or the Federal District who have not held the Presidency have had a chance to lead the country. There is talk of a Constitutional Amendment being drafted and/or discussed to allow the territories a chance to send people to Slaabojevo in order to serve the nation as either President or Vice President, but at this time, it's not gotten much popular traction and/or support all over the country just yet.

The states that have not yet had a President serve the nation are Bublitzania, Rainbowland, Turtletania, and for the purposes of Presidential service, the Federal District is considered equivalent to a state, Constitutionally speaking. The state of Bublitzania seems to be the early favorite for such service once Lancaster's term finally ends, but Slaabovia and Rainbowland seem to have some potentially decent contenders for that position later on, as far as anybody can currently tell here easily enough.

Currently, the official length of the Presidential and Vice Presidential term of office is three years, but debates have begun about potentially extending term lengths to somewhere between four and nine years, already, along with potentially limiting the number of terms a President may serve consecutively if such an extension for the length of a term is ever Constitutionally implemented.

At the present time, no President has served more than four consecutive three-year terms, but that may eventually change at some point in the future, some people believe. Although nobody yet knows if that will ever be the case here for sure, of course.
