I have 8 major leagues in my universe. 3 of these leagues are considered Tier 1. I would like to set up an annual tournament between the top 8 Tier 1 teams from the previous year. The games would be scheduled during off-days for the teams in their regular leagues.

My questions:
1 - I suspect I will have to assign the teams manually. Is that correct?

2 - Will this setup allow the tournament to maintain a history?
