Anthony Alford scored from third base on a wild pitch by St. Louis relief pitcher Jake Diekman with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning to give Quad City a 9-8 win at Fenway Park (1970).
Alford had reached on a one-out single off Diekman and moved to third when Justin Turner followed with another single.
Diekman struck out Derek Fisher for the second out. But his 0-1 pitch eluded catcher Tucker Barnhart, paving the way for Alford to score.
Down 6-2, the River Walkers scored twice in both the sixth and seventh to tie it.
Rhys Hoskins had a run-scoring triple off Thunder reliever P.J. Conlan in the sixth and scored on an Andrew Benintendi sacrifice fly.
In the seventh, Conforto had an RBI single and Rhys Hoskins plated the tying run with a sacrifice fly.
Both teams scored twice in the ninth.
Conforto had an RBI double and Benintendi drove in one with a single as St. Louis went up 8-6.
The bottom of the inning saw Justin Turner with a two-run double off Walkers closer Tommy Kahnle, who blew his second save of the season.
Quad City starting pitcher Michael Santos allowed two runs on five hits in five innings.
The Thunder needed to go through seven relievers to end it.
Kevin Crockett (1.0 IP), Hyun-jin Ryu (1.1), Joe LaSorsa (1.2) and J.D. Hammer (1.0) all handled at least an inning.
Hammer earned his second win of the season.
