Walkers news: Sept. 3 -- Green Bay 3, St. Louis 1

Record: 69-65, 3rd (Tied/w. Springfield and Des Moines), 4.5 GB Cedar Rapids
Green Bay put its first four batters on base to open the game against St. Louis starting pitcher Yu Darvish to grab an early 2-0 lead, which paved the way for a 4-0 win at Memorial Stadium (Buffalo).
Alek Thomas and Aaron Judge opened the the bottom of the first inning with back-to-back doubles, giving the Long Haulers a quick 1-0 lead.
Judge later scored on a Chance Sisco sacrifice fly.
The River Walkers pulled to within 2-1 in the fourth when Nicky Delmonico drew a two-out walk from Green Bay starter Gerrit Cole.
A Rhys Hoskins single moved him to third and rookie Tyler Esplin drove him home with his first major league hit.
But that would be the only run St. Louis would get.

Kenley Janssen, Kodi Mederios and Andrew Miller all worked an inning to close it out.
Miller earning his eighth save.
The Haulers got an insurance run in the eighth when Judge drew a lead-off walk from reliever Bobby Poyner.
A Miguel Cabrera double chased him to third.
