Some notes as we head into August...

We are scheduled to play 20 of 26 games at home in August (through July we are 28-20 at home). Looking forward to it.
Entering August, we lead the league in strikeouts at 1049.
We lead the NL in HR’s, but are only ranked 8th in the league – most of the MLB’s power is housed in the AL.
Phoenix is one of only two teams in the league that hasn’t recorded any CG SHO’s. The other is the New York Jets (4th in the AL East with an identical 54-52 record).
Phoenix doesn’t have a single player in the top 7 in any of the major batting and pitching statistical categories.
Derek has appeared in 87 of our 106 games while Donny has only appeared in 72.
After posting a .654 winning % in April, we’ve only posted a .467 winning percentage since.
Survey says… we’re living on borrowed time.

The burnt orange and eggplant purple’s faithful seem to be a dying breed... and these next two months will have a lot to say about my future as the GM in Phoenix.
