Walkers news: Sept. 22 -- Quad City 7, St. Louis 4
Record: 78-74, 3rd (Tied/w. Kansas City), 4.5 GB Cedar Rapids
Quad City jumped on St. Louis starting pitcher Danny Duffy for four runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back in a 7-4 win at Fenway Park (1970).
Duffy allowed the first five batters he faced to reach base.

A two-run homer from Andrew Benintendi in the fourth off Thunder starting pitcher Michael Santos made it 4-2.
But Quad City scored three more times in the fifth against the River Walkers' bullpen, Duffy had left after getting into another jam in the third.
Derek Fisher led off the inning with a solo homer off Jake deGrom.
Decolati later singled off deGrom, stole second and scored on a Drew
lefty specialist Jake
Robinson made it 7-2 when he scored after a Blake Rutherford single off Jake Diekman.
A Tucker Barnhart solo homer in the ninth made it 7-4, but St. Louis never got the tying run to the plate as Jimmy Herget struck out Scott Schebler to end it and earn his 21st save.
Santos, who allowed two runs on three hits in five innings, collected his fourth win of the season.
