Another month has passed in S272. Here is our latest recap.
AC East:
The Salem Witches continue to be in the top spot in the division.
They further extended their lead (+1).
Harlem Hatchets are now 5 games behind and tied for the second wild card spot.
AC Central:
Asylum Keepers have been pushed further back. After being back 7 games last month, they are now 13 games behind the division leader.
AV West:
Janesville Onyx are still leading the division but lost some ground to the
non-OL Chi-Town Railers. Both the Bluffton Boomerangs and Port Ruppert Mundys fell further behind in the division
and wild card race. Hopefully the Boomerangs can fight for the second wild card spot (currently 4 games behind).
NC East:
The two top teams swapped positions.
The Palolo Puppies took the division lead and pushed the Sanguine Classics into the second spot (3 games behind).
Most of the losses for the Classics came in the middle of the month in a home series against the non-OL Stumptown Loggers.
Kiki Cuyler from the Loggers went 3 for 6, 3 for 4, and 3 for 6 in three games and brought home 7 players (RBI). Wow.
On a more positive note, the Classics continue to lead the league in Runs and Batting Average thanks to a very offense friendly ballpark.
The New York Patriots continue to be 4-5 games back but are only 2 games behind in the wild card race. Good luck tomorrow.
NC Central:
The Asheboro Road Dogs suffered a lot of losses this month and fell from 5 games back in the division to 13 games behind the division leader. This also took them out of the wild card race.
NC West:
Our own Seattle Endless Summer team continues to lead the division by 4-5 games and the entire league in ERA and Defense.
Most of the losses (3 of 4) came during the middle of the month in an away series against the Patriots.
Fortunately, the Endless Summer team was able to win all 3 games at home against the Patriots a few days later.
Both teams battled back and forth and 5 of the 7 games were decided by just 1-2 Runs.
Other news:
4 of the top5 AC Batters competing for the Batting title are OL teams.
On the pitching side, Perfect Walter Johnson (from the Harlem Hatchets) leads the league in most stats.
