We are in St. Louis to face Ted Power (4-1, 2.61) and the Cardinals.
The Giants are pitching Eric Show (1-3, 6.83).
It has been a rough start for Eric.
I have gone 2 for 7 vs Power.
I kicked off the game by grounding out to Mike Marshall at 1st.
The Cards opened the scoring in the 1st when Tom Herr crossed on a Marshall single.
Cardinals lead 1-0
I came up with one out in the 3rd and grounded out to Terry Pendleton at 3rd.
I made my first play on defense in the 4th, grabbing a Pendleton grounder for the final out.
I came up with one out in the 5th, with John Rabb on 1st. I grouded out to Herr at 2nd, but moved John up.
In the 6th Marshall slugged a two run homer.
Cardinals lead 3-0
I led off the 8th, now facing Todd Worrell. I struck out.
In the 9th Steve Stanicek scored on a Cards error, but that is all we could get and fell 3-1.
I was 0 for 4.
After the game Nestor told me I would probably get tomorrow off. As he says, it is a long season.
