PRO CUP FAVORITE WINS, LAST YEAR'S CHAMP LOSES
What a great matchup it would be in the Pro Cup Finals... this year's Pro Cup favorite, the powerful Wynnamac Sundowners, versus the defending champion, the Ginza Ninjas... the Macs against the Karate Kids... a match for the ages... a match made in Heaven.
It could happen... yesterday Wynnamac went up 2-0 in the Ruthlandian Finals against the Ranford Bulls... the Sundowners got fine pitching again in the second game and easily whipped the Bulls 7-1... reigning Pro Cup champ Ginza had a chance to match the Macs, but blew it with a late-inning meltdown... the Rolling Hills Racers nipped the Ninjas 3-2 to tie the best-of-seven set at one game apiece.
