The St. Louis River Walkers have placed left-handed relief pitcher Brad Hand on the 10-day injured list and called up veteran lefty Tony Cingrani from AAA Memphis.
Hand suffered a back injury in a 6-3 loss to Des Moines in the opening game of a doubleheader on April 16. He is expected to miss up to six days.
The 33-year-old Hand had pitched in just one game before being injured. he had no record or no ERA.
Cingrani, also 33, had gotten into two games for the Redbirds. He owned no record but an ERA of 3.86.
He last pitched in the majors for Cincinnati in 2020.
