Meg Sinatra and Alba Duran were both elected to the Hall of Fame.
Daytona Beach began the draft by selecting starting pitcher Justice Pease out of UC Davis. Pease went 10-3 with a 2.24 ERA in 18 starts. Erica Buck, the 2056 no. 1 pick, spent her first season primarily in the prem. She went 7-5 with the Augusta Colts.
Elena Cortez, now playing for Daytona Beach, returned for opening day. The living legend went 0-3 with a walk in 7-3 road loss to Odessa.
The Bristol Bears won the East Division with 92 wins. Richmond, New York, Asheville and Charlotte also made the playoffs. Beaver, with 89 wins, were the only team from the Central Division to make the postseason. Anchorage went 90-60 to win the West Division while Portland rounded out the playoff picture.
Richmond and Anchorage swept in the first round while Bristol and Beaver needed three games to defeat their opponents. Anchorage once again swept while Bristol-Richmond went the distance, with Richmond knocking off the top seed. It was an easy win for Anchorage, racing out to a 3-0 lead before going on to win their first title with a 4-1 series victory.
Elena Cortez came back in style, picking up where she left off with a league-leading batting average of .409. Pomona’s Charlie Jackson led the league in home runs with 59 while Sian Mathis was the RBI queen with 152. Ahri Yamaguchi had the league’s best ERA with 2.88. Qi Lui of Beaver was the winningest pitcher with 17 wins in 30 starts. Jess Tennison of Provo had 211 strikeouts, best in the league.
Effy Calzada of Bristol won rookie of the year with a .324 average and 24 home runs. Ahri Yamaguchi won the Madeeha Baqri Award while Elena Cortez returned to her position as the undisputed Cortez-DeWilliams legend, hitting 25 home runs along with her .409 batting average.
