Andrew Benintendi hit a three-run home run to highlight a six-run sixth inning as St. Louis rallied for a 6-2 win over Twin Cities at Metrodome (1996).
Down 2-0, Edmond Americaan and Bo Bichette got the outburst going with consecutive one-out singles off reliever Carlos Alejandro Ramirez.
Benintendi followed with his three-run shot, a 371-foot drive into the right-field seats.
Tim Hill replaced Ramirez but the River Walkers kept on hiting.
Rhys Hoskins and Nicky Delmonico both singled before a walk to Larry Ernesto to load the bases.
Another walk, this one to Jean Carmona, scored a run making it 4-2.
Nick Lodolo then got the ball, only to allow a sacrifice fly to J.T. Realmuto and a pinch-hit double from Michael Toglia, which scored the inning's final run.
St. Louis starter Kyle Hendricks (3-1) worked five innings, allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out three and walked one.
John Curtiss handled the sixth inning and the seventh belonged to Bobby Poyner.
Just called up, Thad Ward allowed a pair of hits but no runs over the final two innings to close it out.
