I came across a James T. Elder postcard of infielder Subby Sisti, pictured in a Phillies uniform. He is pictured in a 1950 onward, red pinstripes Phillies uniform. Sisti played in a little over 1,000 major league games between 1939 and 1954, The 2019 Phillies Media Guide shows that Sisti never played or coached for the Phillies. I'm thinking that he may have had a trial with the Phils during Spring Training one year near the end of his career, but I've found no documentation of this. Does anyone have any info about Sisti, possibly having an unsuccessful Spring Fling with the Phillies in Clearwater, FL one year?
