With just 2 days remaining in the 1973 regular season, it appears that the MGL is headed for a dramatic finish with the very real possibility of a tie-breaker game being needed to resolve things.
Unfortunately that dramatic finish will not include the Denver Brewers who have been eliminated from contention in spite of getting a 3-1 victory in the first game of their final series against Baltimore.
The only drama left with the Brewers is over which member of the team will claim the MGL batting title, Pat Rondeau or Ryan Rodgers. At the moment Rondeau still holds a very narrow edge, .363 to .361.
The two teams remaining in contention in the MGL, the Brooklyn Aces and the Los Angeles Spinners, are both playing great and are each playing one of the 2 worst teams in the league.
