September 1st 1932 Update
In the American League, the race just got a little tighter, as both Washington and Boston went on winning streaks of 8 and 9 games respectively. At one time the White Sox lead
was down to 4 games. Over in the National League, the Pittsburgh Pirates are still trying to hold off the Boston Braves.
