Walkers news: April 20 -- St. Louis 10, Milwaukee 0

Record: 9-9, 4th, 2.5 GB Cedar Rapids
The St. Louis River Walkers finally got it going both at the plate and on the mound as it snapped a six-game losing streak with a 10-0 win over Milwaukee at Milwaukee County Stadium (1976).
Beginning with a single run in the third inning, when Rhys Hoskins drove in pitcher Jimmy Lambert with a two-out single off Keg Lifters starting pitcher Yu Darvish, the Walkers steadily built a lead before exploding for five runs in the top of the ninth to turn it into a blowout.
St. Louis' lead grew to 3-0 in the fourth when Larry Ernesto hit a two-run homer off Darvish.
Lambert drove in Jared Thomas, who had triple, with a single in the sixth to make it 4-0.
(Lambert, who had a shutout going, had to leave the game with an intercostal strain which should keep him out for four games),
Pinch-runner Alek Thomas later scored on a passed ball.
The big ninth inning featured four hits and two walks.
One of the walks, to Edmond Americaan, came with the bases loaded.

Ernesto collected his third RBI with a double.
Bo Bichette plated three with a bases-loaded double.
Lambert worked five innings, giving up two hits while striking out four and walking one.
Four relievers (John Curtiss 1.0 IP, Phil Maton 2.0, Stephen Brault 0.1 and Thad Ward 0.2) combined to complete the shutout.
