Kansas City got to St. Louis starting pitcher Steven Brault for four runs in the bottom of the first inning, propelling the Pit Masters to a 8-2 win at Kansas City Municipal Stadium (1969).
Greg Jones got things going right away in the bottom of the first, leading off with a triple.
Addison Barger quickly made it 1-0, when he followed with a double.
Barger found the plate on a one-out single from Danny Cushing.
Brian Mundell handled the rest with a two-run homer.
The Masters added single runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth innings as St. Louis never pulled closer than four the remainder of the game.
Barger enjoyed a big game, going 3 for 5 with a double, homer, two runs scored and two RBIs.
K.C. starter Kyle Wright allowed one run on two hits over five innings.
Jace Fry worked a scoreless sixth before being charged with the run the Walkers scored in the seventh.
Giovanny Gallegos took care of the remainder of the seventh.
Austin Hansen didn't allow a run while pitching the eighth and ninth.
