Austin Meadows homered twice including an eighth-inning solo shot off John Curtiss which snapped a 3-3 tie and helped give Des Moines a 4-3 win over St. Louis at LaBatt Park.
Down 1-0, the River Walkers took the lead with three runs in the top of the sixth.
An RBI single from Larry Ernesto off Yeo-San Park tied it.
It also sent Park to the showers.
Romy Gonzalez and pinch-hitter Edmond Americaan also drove in runs with singles, both off reliever Jon Olsen, as St. Louis went up 3-1.
Des Moines tied it in the bottom of the inning, Meadows launching his first homer of the game, a two-run shot off reliever Thad Ward.
Park worked 5.1 innings, allowing three runs on three hits.
Olsen finished the sixth inning.
Yelin Rodriguez, Bryan Garcia and Jandel Gustave all worked an inning apiece to close it out.
Garcia (3-1) netted the victory and Gustave notched his sixth save.
