Addison Russell doubled with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning and scored on a two-out single from Steve Rutland as Green Bay downed St. Louis 3-2 at War Memorial Stadium (Buffalo).
With the victory, the Long Haulers salvaged the third game of the series against the River Walkers.
Russell had doubled with one out off St. Louis reliever Jake Brentz.
Kenley Jansen then replaced Brentz.
Jansel got Austin Hedges to ground out for the second out.
Ruland followed with his game-winning single on a 2-1 pitch.
A solo homer from Bo Bichette off Haulers starter Gerrit Cole put the Walkers ahead 1-0.
An inning later, it was 2-0 after Rhys Hoskins led off with a double off Cole and scored on a Jean Carmona double.
The Haulers got a run back in the sixth against St.Louis starter Aaron Nola.
Aaron Judge reached with a two-out double and he found the plate with another double, this one from Bobby Bradley.
Brandon Lowe hit a solo homer off Nick Lodolo in the seventh to tie it.
Cole lasted five innings, giving up two runs on five hits.
Five relivers combined to finish the game.
Bill Warson worked a scoreless sixth as did Luis Medina in the eighth and Chad Green in the ninth.
Mike Goodwin (0.1) and Ryan Zeferjan (0.2) combined to pitch a scoreless seventh.
The victory went to Green (3-2)
