Madison rallied from a 4-3 deficit with runs in the top of the seventh and ninth innings to defeat St. Louis 5-4 at Busch Stadium (1997).
A struggling Michael Toglia hit his first home run of the season, a three-run shot off Brusador Graterol in the fifth togive the River Walkers a 4-3 lead.
The Muskies tied it in the seventh when Jordan Myrow drew a one-out walk from St. Louis reliever John Curtiss and moved to third when pinch-hitter Josh Smith followed with a double.
Reese McGuire chased Myrow home with a ground out.
A Matt Olson lead-off double off Nick Lodolo led to the winning run in the ninth.
A Francisco Lindor ground out against Kenley Jansen moved Olson to third.
Jansen then walked Myrow but struck out Cole Brannen for the second out.
McGuire, however, reached on an infield single to score Olson.
Madison starter Jhon Vergara worked four innings allowing one run on three hits.
Graterol worked the fifth, allowing Toglia's homer, and recorded the first out of the sixth.
Mitchell Kilkenny (3-1) kept the Walkers off the board in the seventh and eighth and set himself up to eventually earn the win.
David McLoughlin allowed a pair of hits in the ninth, including a lead-off double to Jared Thomas, but got out of it striking out Andrew Benintendi and Larry Ernesto to end it.
The Walkers struck out 15 times in the loss.
