Dahiandy Johnson homered with two outs in the 10th inning off Des Moines reliever Quinn Priester to give St. Louis a 4-3 win at Busch Stadium (1997).

With the bullpen run ragged, John Curtiss was asked to close the game.

Carlos David Martinez followed with a two-run homer to tie it.
Walkers starting pitcher Aaron Nola worked 7.2 innings, giving up one run on six hits. He struck out nine and walked none.
Caleb Ferguson finished off the eighth inning.
