Ricky Salinas has been a fine WPK player for years but he's mostly flown under the radar in spite of winning 4 Gold Gloves, being an All-Star 3 times, and having 3 championship rings and being named the World Series MVP in 1969.
But after leading the SJL this season with a .352 batting average and collecting a league best 223 hits, while also leading the SJL in WAR with 6.7, anonymity should be a thing of the past for the 29-year old hard-working team sparkplug.
And now he will try to lead his team to a second consecutive WPK championship by defeating the MGL's best, the Denver Brewers.
