Ben Johnson, RF
Johnson retires in the top-10 of all-time RF, near Brady Sheard and Moe Fay. He broke into the elite 2500 hit club in his last year in the Major leagues at age 38, finishing 34th all-time in hits. A whole bunch of those hits were doubles, as he finished with the 4th most two-baggers all-time with 536. His time was split between the Rangers and White Sox but in the transition he moved from an MVP-level candidate to "just" an above-average player. Much of that change was due to his defense turning from elite to good to average to terrible.

Adams was in the running for the MVP in 1977, the best year of his career with 6.2 WAR. He continued to put up 4 and 5 WAR seasons throughout his career until at age 35 he became more of a part-time player.
