Walkers news: April 18 -- Rockford 15, St. Louis 7

Record: 7-3, 1st, 1 GA, Springfield
Ahmed Rosario hit for the cycle and Gage Canning homered twice as Rockford slugged past St. Louis 15-7 at RFK Stadium (1962).
The game featured eight home runs, four by each team. The River Walkers' Carlos Vidal matched Canning with a pair of long balls.
The game was tied five when the Lightning broke the contest open with five runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Rosario led off the inning with a double off St. Louis starting pitcher Jimmy Lambert.
Caleb Lambert took over on the mound for the Walkers, and was gritted by a Mike Courtney double, which scored Rosario.
After getting the inning's first out, Lambert surrendered the inning's third double, this one to Drew Ellis.
Estevan Florial kept the line going with a single, putting runners at the corner.
And with two outs, Canning unleashed his second homer of the game -- a three-run blast which made it 10-5.
Rosario notched the home run version of his cycle with a solo shot off Luis Palomo in the seventh.
Rockford made it ugly by scoring four times in the eighth.
Rosario chased home three of the runs with a bases-loaded triple off Palomo.
Lightning starting pitcher Luis Severino lasted just four innings, allowing five runs on nine hits.
Five relievers worked an inning apiece to close it out - -Gabriel Moya, Tyler Glasnow, Taylor Widener, Jason Fleming and Shawn Semple -- with Glasnow (1-0) collecting his first victory of the season.
