Walkers news: April 22 -- St. Louis 9, Twin Cities 4

St.Louis scored five runs over the course of the first three innings to propel the River Walkers to a 9-4 win at the Metrodome (1996).
Andrew Benintendi got things started with a two-run homer in the top of the first inning off Snow Cats starting pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga
After Twin Cities' Jordan Gorshans made it 2-1 with a solo shot off St. Louis starter Steven Brault in the bottom of the first, the Walkers responded with two more runs in the second.
Bo Bichette drove them both home with a two-out triple off Loaisiga.
An RBI single from Jean Carmona in the third extended the Walkers' edge to 5-1.
It's lead at 6-2, St. Louis pushed it to 8-2 in the eighth both runs scoring from third on wild pitches by relievr Jonathan Cooper.
The Walkers got their final run in the ninth, when Jared Thomas doubled with one out off Joe Gatto and scored when Alek Thomas singled off Matt Sauer.
That run made it 9-3.
Brault (2-0) worked the first six innings for the Walkers, allowing two runs on three hits.
Danny Grigg handled the seventh inning and got the first two outs in the eighth. He also allowed a solo homer to Josiah Miller.
Tim Hill made his debut by handling the final out of the eighth and also working the ninth.
He surrendered a solo homer to Jake Burger which did not mean alot.
