Rookie JT Schwartz made his major-league debut a memorable one going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a homer to help power St. Louis to a 5-2 win over Twin Cities at the Metrodome (1986).
The win gave the River Walkers a three-game sweep of their series with the Snow Cats.
No hit by hard-throwing Cats starting pitcher Mack Anglin going into the third inning, Schwartz got the scoring started with a two-out solo shot in the top of the third inning.
St. Louis pushed its lead to 3-0 in the top of the sixth with another long ball, this one from Andrew Benintendi off Anglin.
Twin Cities got on the board with a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Walkers starter Jimmy Lambert allowed the first two batters to reach to open the inning.
John Curtiss took his place but could not keep the Cats in check.
An Eloy Jimenez single loaded the bases and Will Banfield followed with a two-run single to make it 3-2 with still no one out.

Danny Grigg then got the St. Louis and induced Lucius Fox to hit into a double play to get out of the jam.
The St. Louis bullpen got out of another jam in the eighth.
Grigg allowed a two-out single to Jonathan India before giving way to closer Edwin Diaz.
Jake Burger followed with a double but India had to hold art third.
Diaz got Buxton to fly out to end the inning.
The Walkers added two insurance rusn in the ninth, and Schwartz played a part with a one-out double off Heath Hembree.
A Christian Arroyo single off Tobias Myers moved Schwartz to third.
Joey Gatto came on, but Bo Bichette got to him for a triple, which plated a pair.
The ninth, however, was not a cakewalk for Diaz as he allowed three consecutive batters to reach with one out by issuing two walks and allowing a single.
But that was all.
Diaz struck out Jordan Gorshans for the second out.
Roc Riggio flew out to end it, as Diaz earned his fifth save.
Lambert (2-1) handled the first six innings, allowing two runs on five hits.
