Alex Faedo allowed one run over seven inning to help lead St. Louis to a 4-1 win over Kansas City at Busch Stadium (1997).
The victory put the River Walkers back in first place, a half-game in front of Springfield.
Faedo (4-1) allowed one run on three hits. He struck out nine and walked four.
Josh Shuler's solo homer in the top of the first off Faedo staked the Pit Masters to a 1-0 lead.
The River Walkers tied it in the bottom of the fifth against Kansas City starter Pablo Lopez.
Edmond Americaan reached on a one-out double and he moved to third when Faedo singled.
Bo Bichette tied it with a sacrifice fly.
St. Louis grabbed the lead in the seventh.
Americaan again scored the run. He led off with a triple off reliever Austin Hansen and scored on a sacrifice fly by pinch-hitter Christian Arroyo.
The Walkers added an insurance run an inning later.
Back-to-back walks from reliever David Berg followed by a Jean Carmona single loaded the bases.
Americaan again came though with an RBI single off Trevor Hildenberger to make it 4-1.
After Faedo exited after the seventh inning, Nick Lodolo worked a perfect eighth.
Edwin Diaz did the same in the ninth for his 10th save.
