Walkers news: May 30 -- Madison 8, St. Louis 5

Record: 30-16, 1st, 2.5 GA Springfield
Nomar Mazara went 3 for 4 with a double, a homer, two run scored and four RBIs to power Madison to an 8-5 win over St. Louis at Comiskey Park (1969).
Down 1-0, Mazara struck for the first time in the bottom of the third inning with a two-run homer off River Walkers starting pitcher Alex Faedo.
The Muskies' lead grew to 4-1 in the fourth on a two-run double from Josh Rivera.
Jared Thomas hit a two-run homer for St. Louis in the top of the sixth, drawing the River Walkers to within 4-3.
But Madison would break it open in the seventh against the Walkers bullpen.
Aramis Ademan drew a lead-off walk from reliever Dan Jennings and RIvera followed with a single.
Danny Grigg took the mound and followed with is easily was his worst outing of the season.
After recording a out, Mazara got to him for a two-run double.
A Kevin Maitan single put runners at the corners.
Mazara scored when Grigg uncorked a wild pitch.
Ademan got to Luis Palomo for an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth, making it 8-3.
St. Louis did score twice in the top of the ninth, Tanner Kohlhepp with a two-run double, but never really threatened.
Muskies starter Josh Tomlin (3-4) worked 5.2 innings, giving up two runs on six hits.
Dan Hammer completed the sixth inning.
David McLoughlin and Brian Rose worked an inning apiece to get to the ninth.
Brusdar Graterol, Merandy Gonzalez and Jorge Guzman all got an end apiece to end it.
Guzman came out of it with his second save.
