1.Play by Play - is there an option where you can hear the announcer doing the pbp? or is it just the text you have to follow
Spoken text is still a dream for us Mac folk. You'd have to ask the many PC users here how it is for them.
2.Player pictures - is there a way to get real pictures for the players or is it just stuck w/ the cartoon rendition?
There are several pix collections in the MODs section of the forums. Download one, and deposit the pictures into a folder at the location User/<<your username>>/Library/Application Support/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP20/photos. Make sure you check the 'Load player pictures automatically' box in the 'players & facegen' tab under Game settings. Also make sure you UNCHECK Load PhotoFit(FaceGen) files automatically.
3.Historical ballparks - I've seen some videos where people are playing at the polo grounds and ebbets field etc.... How do you enable this? I'd love to get all the old ballparks for all the teams in the years they played in them. Is this possible?
2d ballpark pictures must be .jpg format. They go in the ballparks folder, same location as the photos folder I mentioned above. Again, in the MOD's section there are a lot available.
User created 3d models have are found here (
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...lay.php?f=3879) and our community is absolutely awesome about contributing them. They go in the models folder, located inside your ballparks folder.
4.Is there a way to play an exhibition game? Like just a game to learn how to play? I tried one but it asked me to create a series and I created a 1 game WS series I guess. Other than that any other way.
There is a "Play Exhibition Game' option in the PLAY menu.
Ya it's 3am in the morning. I should go to bed, but learning this game and just loving it! I love baseball history and this is just amazing![/QUOTE]
