Alex Faedo allowed a run over 6.1 innings and the bullpen shut out Des Moines the rest of the way, as St. Louis downed the Harvesters 4-1 at Busch Stadium (1997).
The victory gave St. Louis a sweep of the three-game series.
Faedo allowed one run on four hits, while striking out seven and walking three, during his time on the mound.
He exited with runners at first and third and two outs in the seventh.
Reliever Tim Hill struck out Jarron Silva to end the threat.
Hill also recorded a scoreless eighth inning.
With the River Walkers lead having grown to 4-1 in the bottom of the eighth, thanks to a two-run homer from Tanner Kohlhepp, John Curtiss took care of the ninth without allowing a run for his first save.
Down 1-0, St. Louis took the lead in the fourth,
Rhys Hoskins opened the game with a lead-off homer off Des Moines starting pitcher Yonny Chirinos.
Later, Larry Ernesto doubled and scored on a two-out single from Reese McGuire.
