The Detroit tiger swung that batter hotter than any other team in the American League. Thanks to Tex Hughson (7-1, 2.37) in leading the charge for the Tigers. Over in the
National League the Brooklyn Dodgers are holding off the Cubs. Jackie Robinson makes his debut (.321, Hr 12 RBIs).
