Denver Brewers second baseman Brad Sherman, getting a chance to start in the absence of the Brewers usual starting middle infielders Bobby Erbakan and Rich White, took full advantage of the opportunity last week and earned the MGL Player of the Week honors.
And down at AAA Chester, first base prospect Mike Lovett, who has been slowly heating up as the season progresses, took the same honors for his league. The only problem for the power hitting Lovett is that the Brewers new first baseman this season, Brett Taranto, is in the midst of a breakout season, likely slowing down Lovett's rise to the bigs a bit.
