Marseille at Paris
Game 1
Paris had it locked down with a 2-0 lead and one out in the 9th. Dave Corronado on his 119th pitch lost the shutout on a solo jack by Ayala. But, with Gallet coming to the mound the smart money was still on Paris. Gallet gave up a single and then, a PH homer to Charrier, his first of the year. Gallet got his first loss and in the process his second BS. The Soleis win a big game, 3-2.
Game 2
Another 1 run game but this time the Artists win 4-3. Paris went right back to their closer in the 9th and Gerard Gallet came through retiring the final 2 outs for his 13th save. Matthieu Michel connected for his 11th home run of the year.
Game 3
Julien Henri had plenty of run support as the Artists pounded on 16 hits while building a 10-1 lead after 8 innings. Some casual pitching management by Paris, sticking with Henri to the end. allowed for the score to end up making it appear a close game. The Soleis scored 6 in the top of the 9th courtesy of Mathon's grand slam and Pithon's 2 run dinger. But, Henri gets the deserved win and is now 6-7. Julien went 3 for 5 and Herve hit his 9th dinger to go along with a pair of singles. Delage named player of the game and the Artists take another series in the French division.
