Quad City pounded St. Louis starting pitcher Argenis Batistia for six runs over the first two innings and rode that to a 12-4 win at Busch Stadium (1997).
The 2026 season continued to be a rough one for Batista, in this one he allowed the Thunder to score five times in the first inning and once in the second before exiting.
Duke Kinamon opened the game with a single and scored when Carter Kieboom followed with a triple to make it 1-0.
Kieboom scored on a Nick Gonzalez sacrifice fly.
Josh Bell made it 5-0 with a two-out, three-run homer.
Kinamon scored the run which made it 6-0 in the second.
With one out, Batista issued consecutive walks to Kinamon and Kieboom
Kameron Misner scored Kinamon with a single.
Quad City scored six more times over the final seven innings.
Included was a two-run homer from Misner off Justin Roberts in the seventh inning and Bell's second long ball of the game, this one off Williams Jerez, this one a two-run shot in the eighth.
Quad City starter Izzy San Juan worked five innings, allowing one run on three hits. He struck out six and walked one.
San Juan was was 2 for 2 at the plate with a run scored.
Garrett Williams took came of the sixth through eighth innings.
Arodys Vizcaino allowed two runs in the ninth, but it didn't matter with his team up by 10.
