Minor League Signing Suggestions
Would it be possible to add an option where, rather than the "Minor League Managers" signing / releasing players to include a "suggestion" from a MiLB mananger?
Something simple to the effect of "Hey, I noticed that 'Insert MiLB free agent' recently became a free agent. We could use a guy like him in our rotation/bullpen/lineup. What do you think about offering him a contract?"
That would allow you select the player to view his profile page from the Mailbox and see if they're worth signing.
Same thing could go for releasing players. "Hey, we have an influx of middle infielders/outfielders/bullpen options and 'Insert Minor League Player' doesn't really have a spot on our team. Would you like to release him or demote him?"
It could play its way in to promotion/demotion suggestions too I suppose. I lock the prospects to the level I want them at anyways. And I use the "Minor League System Report" to see who deserves to go up/down. But I don't look at it often enough.
Maybe a player has like 3 weeks where he is really struggling and the Manager sends you a message to say "Hey, we should look at sending *Blank* down to get his confidence back up."
Personally I micro manage the minor league teams maybe more than some, but when I allow the managers to decide signing/released seem to they load up the AAA team with AAAA guys.
This results in the players I want to play in AAA end up pushing everyone down to AA and AA to A+ etc. etc.
