The three friends debuted in their first varsity season for the Cardinal Spellman HS Cardinals. The team did not do very well going 0-18-1 in the school's first season fielding a hockey time and Nick and Shawn's stats showed because of it. Though they had offers to play elsewhere next season, they decided to tough it with the cardinals out one more year. Ryan, on the other hand, had a great season producing a point per game. This helped Ryan receive an invitation to train with the US NTDP in Ann Arbor, MI. Nick and Shawn encouraged the friend to jump at the opportunity and the trio will hopefully meet again at college.
