One good shutout deserves another, Tanner Bibee pitched eight scoreless innings, a day after losing 14-0, and St. Louis downed Springfield 6-0 at Busch Stadium (1997).
Bibee (5-3) allowed four hits while striking out four and walking one during his time on the mound.
Angel Tiburcio handled the ninth without an issue or run scoring.
The River Walkers took control early with three runs in the bottom of the first.
Carlos Vidal led off the inning with a homer off D.J. Jefferson.
Jean Carmona followed with a double, andhe scored on an Andrew Benintendi single.
Benentendi would later scored on a Larry Ernesto single.
The Walkers made it 4-0 in the third, Rhys Hoskins reaching on a one-out double and scoring on a JT Schwartz single.
Carlos Vidal had an RBI triple and Jean Carmona drove in a run with a single in the fourth, completing the scoring.
