yeah because you did a fictional league. when you are doing a custom league, choose new custom game, then make sure to say no thanks to challenge mode, then click "create real world league"
within those advanced settings, you can still choose to do a fantasy draft style league, but it will be with real players, at least that's how I would do it by looking at it
