Walkers news: Sept. 5 -- St. Louis 9, Green Bay 5

Record: 75-59, 1st, 4 GA Des Moines
(Note: This was my second attempt to finish this game. In the first, it played out to 14 innings, when St. Louis scored five runs in the top of that inning to win 11-6. However, I walked away from the game for 15 minutes and while I was gone Microsoft started a Windows update, wiping the game out).
Tied 5-5, St. Louis exploded for four runs in the top of the eighth innings to defeat Green Bay 9-5 at War Memorial Stadium (Buffalo).
Vidal Brujan led off the inning with a home run off Long Haulers relief pitcher Luis Angel Medina.
After an out, Larry Ernesto and Johan Comargo followed with single, which led to Medina's exit in favor of Rodolfo Martinez.
Carlos Vidal greeted Medina with an RBI double.
Rhys Hoskins duplicated that hit, except his double scored two.
It was a back and fourth game.
A three-run homer from Green Bay's Ruben Villanueva off St.Louis starter Jason Froehlich had put the Long Haulers up 3-1 in the bottom of the first.
The River Walkers scored three times in the top of the third against Green Bay starter Michael Wacha - Jared Thomas drove in one run with double while Brujan had an RBI single -- to go up 5-3.
The Haulers tied it in th e bottom of the fifth against Froehlich.

Bobby Bradley tied it with an RBI single which scored Andrew Lee.
Froelich lasted five innings, allowing five runs on five hits. He struck out two and walked four.
Luis Palomo, Ricky Cisneros, Derek Gordon and Argenis Batista all worked an inning of relief.
Cisneros (2-1) earned his second win of the season.
