Walkers news: Sept. 9 -- St. Louis 4, Chicago 3

Record: 80-59, 1st, 6.5 GA Des Moines
Alex Faedo limited Chicago to two runs over seven innings to collect his 16th win and St. Louis completed a four-game sweep of the G-Men with a 4-3 win at Busch Stadium (1997).
The victory extended the River Walkers win streak to eight games.
Chicago did get single runs off Faedo in the first and third innings, but that 2-0 lead was wiped out when St. Louis scored three times in the bottom of the third.
Carlos Vidal got it started with a one-out single off G-Men starting pitcher Luis Ramon Silva.
The rest all happened with two outs.
A wild pitch moved Vidal to second and he scored when Andrew Benintendi doubled.
Fernando Tatis Jr. then chased home Benintendi with a single, Tatis Jr. taking second on the throw to the plate.
That paid off when Chicago left fielder Jared Kelenic dropped a fly ball hit by Jared Thomas, as Tatis Jr. scored from second.
Tatis Jr. scored again the fifth after he doubled off reliever Jon Gray with one out.

A Thomas single moved him to third.
Tatis Jr. then was granted the plate when Gray was called for a balk.
Faedo (16-5) allowed the two runs on six hits in seven innings. He struck out six and walked one.
Williams Jerez did allow a homer to Luis Tejada while pitching the eighth, which allowed Chicago to pull within 4-3.
Edwin Diaz set the G-Men down in order in the ninth for his 25th save.
