Adonis Medina allowed one run over seven innings and Bo Bichette drov in Fernando Tatis Jr. with the winning run in the bottom of the seven as St. Louis downed Twin Cities 2-1 at Busch Stadium (1997).
Tied 1-1, Tatis Jr. was hit by a Nolan Rodriguez pitch to lead off the bottom of the seventh.
A one-out double from Larry Ernesto later moved Tatis Jr. to thid.
Bichette scored Tatis Jr. with what-proved-to-be the game-winning run with a sacrfice fly.
St. Louis had gone up 1-0 in the bottom of hthe second against Snow Cats startr Jonathan Loaisiga when Andrew Benintendi drew a lead-offf walk, moved to third on a Tatis Jr. single and scored on a fly ball by Clay Owens.
The Cats tied it in the top of the third.
Javier Valdes and Will Banfield hit consecutive singles off Medina to open the inning.
Valdes would score on a Roc Riggio ground out.
Medina threw seven stroing innings allowing the one run on three hits. He struck out eight and walked one
Luis Palomo (0.2 IP) and Nick Lodolo (0.2) who kept the Cats off the scoreboard.
Jake Brentz sent Twin Cities down in order in the ninth for his 11th save.
